There is no safe place in this present life. There are no guarantees. Jesus does not promise His followers good health, a long life, and material riches. It is more likely Christians will find trouble, adversity, opposition, and trials, but they will... inherit the kingdom of God. The only sure refuge is one’s relationship with God. Jesus said the most important thing in life was to repent--that is, to be in a right relationship with God at all times.
우리의 현재의 삶에서 어느 곳도 안전한 곳은 없다. 안전의 보증도 없다. 예수께서는 그를 따르는 자들에게 건강이나 수명이 긴 것도 풍부한 물질도 약속하지 않으셨다. 오히려 그리스도인들은 이 세상에서 더 많은 어려움을 만나는 것과 역경과 반대와 시련에 부딪힐 것이라 하셨지만 그들에게 하나님의 나라를 상속하게 하실 것이라 하셨다. 오직 하나님과 바른 관계를 갖는 것만이 확실한 것이다. 예수께서는 삶에 있어서 회개만이 가장 중요한 것으로 그것만이 결국 모든 삶에서 하나님과 바른 관계를 가질 수 있는 것이라고 말씀하셨다.
